Scrubs

Mix Coarse Sea Salt or Sugar with Oil at a 2:1 ratio for a simple basic scrub recipe.

For example, mix 1 cup Salt with 1/4 cup Coconut Oil and 1/4 cup Vitamin E oil; if you are only using one kind of oil, mix 1/2 cup Oil with 1 cup Salt or Sugar.

Then add 3-4 drops of Essential Oils and stir it up. Adding one or two capsules of vitamin E oil will preserve your product longer. Store your scrubs in a sterilized glass or plastic container. You can even put some in small jars for gifts or retail.

Foot Soaks

An easy way to do a Foot Soak is to use store-bought mineral bath salts, bath fizzes, teabags, or natural bath foam.

Some fun extras are

  • smooth stones on the bottom of the bowl
  • flower petals or flower tops
  • fresh herbs, lemon or orange slices
  • a warm neck wrap and warm hand mitts while

Another tip is to combine a foot soak with a foot scrub. Just have your client soak for ten minutes, then scrub their feet while sitting in a comfortable chair. Then you can rinse their feet in the foot soaking water, dry them and have them move to the massage table.

Soothing Foot Soak

This foot soak is good for aching feet aches, removing odors, and softening rough skin. Add some rose or lavender petals to the bath.

Mix the essential oils in the salts and add ¼ cup to 1-2 gallons of water for soaking.

1/2 cup Epsom salts

drops peppermint essential oil,

3 drops tea tree oil,

Three drops lavender

Lavender Milk Bath Foot Soak

1 cup milk (keep powdered milk on hand, not fat-free)

3 drops lavender essential oil

Mix the milk up in a measuring cup, add essential oils, stir, and add to foot bathwater. You can also substitute any essential oils you would like, but just a few drops.
