Pre-Wedding Spa and Beauty Tips
Every bride wants to look her best on her big day โ and most brides spend a lot of money on the gown and their hair beforehand. Itโs always good to get your beauty routine in place, too, so that you know for sure youโll look glowing and radiant in all your wedding photos. Weโve put together some pre-wedding beauty tips that every bride needs.
Facials
Give your face a bit of TLC pre-wedding day, especially if you know that youโre prone to breakouts or suffer from rosacea (or any other skin concerns). Speak to your aesthetician in advance, and they can tailor a treatment plan just for you. Ideally, you need to start a couple of months to six weeks before the day, with the last facial a week or so beforehand.
Dermaplaning
Have you tried dermaplaning? Itโs amazing to give you a dewy glow โ a non-invasive treatment. It gently removes the top layer of your dead skin cells along with the fine vellus hair on your face, leaving you with gorgeously smoothed skin thatโs ready for flawless make-up application. The effects last up to four weeks โ weโd recommend booking in 1-2 weeks before the wedding.
Lashes for your Wedding
Do you like the idea of a little extra lash length or added thickness on your wedding day? Thereโs no need to worry about losing a strip of false lashes mid-speeches. Just book in for a set of lash extensions. These are individually applied (the appointments can take a while) and available in natural and synthetic fibers for different effects. Lashes will start to shed naturally within 2-3 weeks. If you love your natural lashes but want to enhance them, thereโs always the lash tint option to add definition to what nature gave you.
Alternatively, if you’re happy with your lashes as they are, try a lash tint to define your eyes.
If youโre going to extensions, book in a week before the wedding โ this will give you enough time to acclimatize to your fuller lashes โ and catch them at their best before they start to grow out.
Waxing and Threading
It goes without saying that you should book in for a wax appointment a few days before your wedding, paying attention to the four key areas: legs, bikini line, underarms, and brows. If you haven’t opted for an eyebrow treatment such as microblading, consider threading which offers a professional finish and long-lasting results.
When to have it: A few days before the wedding to let any irritation subside and before re-growth.
Manicure and Pedicure
A manicure and pedicure will add the final touch to your glamorous wedding look. Opt for aย sophisticated, understated gel polish for a long-lasting look that resists chips and smudges.ย Gel nails are best booked in a couple of days before the wedding.
Fake A Tan
A fake tan (spray or otherwise) will add a hint of color to wedding skin and looks fabulous against a white or pale-colored gown. Remember to thoroughly exfoliate and moisturize a day or so beforehand, especially in areas like your knees and elbows. This helps to ensure a smooth tanning application. Book your tanning treatment for two days before the wedding to allow time for it to fade slightly. This also ensures that you donโt get any rub off on your dress on the big day.
Massage Before the Wedding
Finallyโฆwhen everything is beautified and ready, the wedding plans are completed, and you need a breather, itโs time for a massage. Treat yourself to a full body massage โ get the therapist to pay extra attention to areas where you hold onto tension, like your upper back and shoulders. This is your pre-wedding reward โ unwinding you after the stress of wedding organization and making sure youโre ready to enjoy the day. Book this for as close to the wedding day as you can, once the majority of things are organized.
All of these beauty tips are done? Then, we’re all ready for the wedding day! Congratulation and best wishes!
