No matter how much mascara you put on, your lashes still need an extra boost to have your desire curl. And here comes lash lift and everything you should know! An amazing gift for those with lashes that grow out rather than up.

Imagine waking up with full, fluttering eyelashes! Without worrying or be extra conscious not to rub your eyes or use a sleeping mask. Plus, lash lifts are way cheaper and require less maintenance than extensions.

What is a Lash Lift?

A lash lift is a cosmetic service that curls your lash from base to tip so you can see its full length. It is a perm for your lashes to achieve that perfect eye-opening curl. A lash lift alters the shape of your natural lashes, giving you a more pleasing appearance. Bring your lashes to their full potential is what lash lift actually does.

The highly experienced esthetician uses a tiny silicone pad and solution to boost and lift individual lashes. Yes, there are some chemical solution involves, but it is not painful but a little bit uncomfortable. And always remember to keep your eyes shut throughout the process and not let the formula get in contact with your eyes.

Are Lash Lifts Safe?

Yes, if done properly and by a licensed and experienced esthetician, the procedure is absolutely safe. The most important thing is talking with your esthetician about dos and don’ts before and after the process.

The Appointment

It is best to avoid using water-proof mascara or eyeliner a week before your appointment. The residue it leaves on your natural lashes will make it harder for your esthetician to style them. And please come to your appointment make-up and contacts free.

The whole process usually takes around an hour, depending on how your lashes hold the curl. If you decide to get a tint, it will take another fifteen minutes. It is not that bad, considering having an extension usually takes around two hours.

The first 48 hour is the most crucial to maintain the gorgeous effect of last lift. Avoid water, mascara, or anything that will expose your lashes to water, Avoid wearing makeup or getting your lashes wet at least 24 hours after the procedure. Most estheticians advise their clients to hydrate their lashes with coconut oil after the process.

How Long Does it Last?

Results vary individually depends on the length and porosity of your lashes. But in general, it lasts from four to six weeks. Some even have their lashes still curl up to 8 weeks.

As a client, always make sure you’ve got a licensed and experienced esthetician to do your lash works. We at BMS have Rebeccah to do the job for you. Book a lash lift session with her as she is passionate about esthetics and will give you the best result you’ve always expected.
