#BuyLocalVermont is a program created by the State of Vermont that uses CARES Act funding to aid Vermont businesses and residents struggling in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The #BuyLocalVermont program promises to bring in the foot traffic needed to quickly increase sales for restaurants, retail stores, entertainment and performing arts venues, lodging and tourism-related businesses.
The program will begin incentivizing purchases on September 8, 2020, via a limited time $30 #BuyLocalVermont offer, given to residents who sign up to participate on a first come, first served basis. When a resident activates their offer, they’ll be matched with participating local Vermont businesses where they can use those funds. It’s a program that puts real money in the hands of residents and jumpstarts sales for the small businesses powering our communities.
